SUMMARY:Gloucester Day 2024
DESCRIPTION:Celebrating all things Gloucester! \nGloucester Day falls on 7 September this year\, and the Cross Streets of Gloucester will come alive with stalls\, stands\, lively performances\, and all the pomp and ceremony of the traditional Gloucester Day parade through the four main gated streets\, led by the Mayor and Sheriff of Gloucester\, in full Civic Regalia. \nThe Gloucester Day event is the reinstatement of the original Gloucester Day – a day of celebration on the lifting of the siege of Gloucester – in 1643. The annual celebration is organised by Gloucester’s town crier Alan Myatt and supported by Gloucester City Council. \nEvents taking place include: \n11.00am – Mock Mayor of Barton’s Parade – Starting along Constitution Walk.
