DESCRIPTION:One-off specially brewed beers\, scrummy sausages and the only professional oompah band on the planet are coming to Gloucester Guildhall this October for a dose of Bavarian brilliance. \nThe inaugural Glostoberfest will be held at the Eastgate Street venue on Saturday 24th October bringing a slice of Munich’s infamous Oktoberfest right here to Gloucester city centre. The event is being organised by Gloucester Guildhall and by the team who put together the annual beer festival at Gloucester Blackfriars. \nThere will be 12 real ales on offer (as well as a cider and a perry)\, including exclusive brews from local brewers\, a German Alt Bier from Hillside Brewery in Longhope and an Oktoberfest Special from Popes in Worcester. There will also be a one off brew from Corinium in Cirencester and German style beers from Malvern Hills\, Cotswold Spring\, Bristol Beer Factory and Tiny Rebel. \nNeil Richardson\, one of the organisers\, said: “The guys who have brought you the Gloucester Beer Festival for the last three years in Blackfriars are thrilled to be working with the chaps at the Guildhall in Gloucester again on what we are sure will be another great fun event promoting real ale in the city of Gloucester and who knows\, this could become a regular event too.” \nA £30 ticket gets you entry into the event\, four pints of beer\, food and entertainment.

DESCRIPTION:Come and see some great sport in Gloucester \nOn Sunday October 4th the city of Gloucester will play host to historic night in professional wrestling. \nNew Japan Pro Wrestling\, the second biggest wrestling company on the planet will be facing of with the most respected wrestlers in the Uk at GL1 Gloucester Leisure Centre. \nFor a rare cross promotional international flavoured event with Gloucester’s Superstars Of Wrestling for SuperClash 3. \nFor a few of the Japanese stars it is their first time competing in the Uk. \nIf you unfamiliar with Japanese Pro Wrestling  \, known by fans in Uk as Puroresu “The biggest difference can be seen in there strong style of combat (the emphasis on the “fight” elements of wrestling where they hit really \, really hard). \nTho also notable from New Japan Pro Wrestling are the colourful characters including Jushin Thunder Liger \, Shinsuke Nakamura \, AJ Styles  \, Hiroshi Tanahashi and the current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion “Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada will also be in action on the night. \nAn also rival’s All Japan Pro Wrestling will be sending there current World Junior Heavyweight Champion Kotaro Suzuki to defend his title in the city of Gloucester on Sunday October 4th.

As part of the festival Gloucester Cathedral’s carpark will be taken over by historic vehicles so be sure to come by and take a look\, don’t forget your camera! \nHistoric vehicles\, cars\, motorbikes\, scooters and commercial vehicles will line the streets and businesses of all types\, shops\, restaurants\, banks and public houses will all be joining in the fun by creating their own retro feel\, Westgate street will be themed from 1900’s to 1949\, Northgate Street 1950’s\, Eastgate Street 1960’s and Southgate Street 1970-1980’s. \nKings Square will host a retro market where stallholders will offer all things retro\, from clothes to furniture!
