DESCRIPTION:On Sunday 12th May 2024\, The Rotary Club of Gloucester Severn’s Dragon Boat Festival returns raising money for Young Gloucestershire and other local charities. \nThe Festival is now a hugely popular event in the Gloucestershire events’ calendar that pits teams of 10 paddlers plus a drummer against each other to see who is the fastest. There are morning and afternoon competitions each culminating in a final race to crown either the morning or afternoon champions\, with a Dragon Boat Shield presented to the fastest team of the morning and afternoon races. \nCome on down to Gloucester Docks between 10am – 5pm to watch the fun! \nFind out more here.

This year the #GlosSantaFunRun is on Saturday 9th December 2023 outside the old Debenhams Store in Kings Square. Registration from 9.30am for a 10.00 start.\n\nLast year you helped raise over £2\,400 for local charities; so let’s see if we can beat that this year. Lets fill Kings Square so spread the word!\n\nA FUN DAY FOR ALL – Please DRESS UP AS SANTA OR AN ELF to make it more fun!\nWe look forward to you joining us by running in your full Santa Set up on Saturday 9th December 2023 in the City or during that week if you’re doing the virtual fun run and posting your photos to show that you’ve done it on our Social Media.
