SUMMARY:Royal Three Counties Show -Gloucestershire Old Spots Trial Starring Henson Pig
DESCRIPTION:Marketing Gloucester are proud to announce The Royal Three Counties Show as the headline sponsor of an exciting new sculpture trail for Gloucestershire. The Royal Three Counties Show Gloucestershire Old Spots Trail Starring ‘Henson Pig’ will be taking place from June to August 2017. Expanding on the success of last year’s Scrumpty Trail\, there will be twenty sculptures in the city with an additional twenty around the county. \nThe partnership with the Royal Three Counties Show coincides with Gloucestershire assuming hosting duties for the event on 16 -18 June 2017 at the Showground in Malvern. In 2017\, the long-established agricultural event will be celebrating all that is great about Gloucestershire.The Royal Three Counties Show Gloucestershire Old Spots Trail Starring ‘Henson Pig’ will also highlight to other ancient livestock breeds synonymous with Gloucestershire\, the Gloucester Cattle and the Cotswold Lion sheep. \nThe Gloucestershire Old Spots was the first pig to ever be given pedigree status. Known as the ‘orchard pig’\, the Gloucestershire Old Spots originates from the Severn Valley pig’ where they foraged on wind fallen apples and whey – bi-products of two of the county’s most famous exports\, cider and cheese. It was championed along with other rare breeds\, by Joe Henson MBE\, at Cotswold Farm Park when it opened in 1971. His son\, Adam\, took over the running of the park in 1999 and is a presenter on the BBC’s Countryfile. It is in Joe and Adam’s honour that the pig is named ‘Henson’. \nThe partnership between the Royal Three Counties Show and Marketing Gloucester will encourage a deeper understanding of Gloucestershire’s rural heritage\, promoting cultural tourism around the county\, whilst providing opportunities for the two organisations to raise money for their preferred charities.

DESCRIPTION:Live/Wire is The AC/DC Show. The unique six man tribute to rock music’s greatest band AC/DC\, complete with cannons\, a wall of Marshalls’ and over two hours of High Voltage Rock ‘n’ Roll. The AC/DC story is over forty years in the making\, with two specific eras and the band cover both these as always with both ‘Dave’ Bon Scott and ‘Pete’ Brian Johnson present to take you on the Rock and Roll train for a night to remember. Originally fronting AC/DC was the legendary Bon Scott\,  a wild man of rock and roll\, whose untimely death shocked the World in 1980. This event came at a time when the Band were sampling global success for the first time. Dave delivers songs from the first half dozen albums from Dirty Deeds to Highway to Hell with Bon’s inimitable attitude\, style and charisma. Pete\, then dons the flat cap as Geordie vocalist\, Brian Johnson\, whom AC/DC turned to in order to fill the void left by Bon. Brian’s searing vocals Iced Back in Black\, one of the best-selling albums of all time. Brian’s time with AC/DC spans four decades and like a good wine\, he’s matured with age. Pete brings the Live/Wire show bang up to date with more classic tracks right up to AC/DC’s hugely successful recent album\, Rock or Bust. The band aim to put you slap bang in the middle of the show with hit after hit\, and you are expected to join in!  There will also be one or two gems thrown in for the aficionados!  \n\n
