Officers investigating a serious assault in Gloucester are trying to trace one of the victims as they have concerns for his welfare.

The assault took place at about 2am on Saturday 11 August near to the 94 bus stop on Market Parade where the man (pictured) was assaulted a number of times but left the scene before police arrived.

A woman was also assaulted and suffered injuries to her hand and face.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We know that the image of the victim is of poor quality but investigating officers hope that someone will still be able to recognise the man and that he, or anyone who knows him, will come forward so that we can check on his welfare.”

Investigating officers would also like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident and may have pictures or videos from their phones.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 quoting incident 41 of 11 August.

A 20-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the incident and have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
