Changes announced by Stagecoach West will see services cut from this September.

The bus operator says services have been changed due to low passengers numbers and punctuality improvements.

What services are affected?

From 4th September there will be changes to bus times on many services in and around Gloucester.

1:  Matson to city centre

–          Minor changes to times at Melick Close and Caledonian Rd to improve punctuality

–          New Sundays journeys departing city centre at 0830, 1940 and 2020

 

7:  Finlay Road & Tredworth to city centre

–          Minor timetable changes throughout to improve punctuality

–          Due to poor patronage the 0622 journey on Saturdays will no longer run

 

8:  Brockworth & Cooper’s Edge to city centre

–          Evening journeys will run earlier throughout, departing the city centre at 35 minutes past each hour

–          Due to poor patronage the 0623 journey from Brockworth on Saturdays will no longer run

–          A new later journey will run on Sundays, departing the city centre at 1845

 

9:  Tuffley to city centre

–          Revised timetable throughout to improve punctuality

–          Evening journeys will now run hourly, departing the city centre at 2015, 2115, 2215 and 2320

 

10:  Lower Tuffley to Cheltenham

–          Minor timetable changes throughout to improve punctuality

 

12:  Quedgeley to city centre

–          Revised timetable throughout to improve punctuality

–          Extra weekday early morning buses will run from the city centre to Quedgeley to meet increased demand

–          Buses will run every 10 minutes on weekdays and every 12 minutes on Saturdays

–          Evening journeys departing the city centre after 1900 will leave from Clarence Street, not Eastgate Street

 

23:  Coleford & Lydney to Gloucester

–          Minor timetable changes throughout to improve punctuality

–          The last bus from Gloucester on Mondays to Saturdays will depart at 1810 and extend to Coleford

–          0803 from Coleford to Gloucester on Saturdays will no longer run

 

24:  Lydbrook & Joy’s Green to Gloucester

–          Minor timetable changes throughout to improve punctuality

–          Saturday journey at 1545 from Joy’s Green to Gloucester will no longer run

 

30/31:  Coleford & Cinderford to Gloucester

–          Minor timetable changes throughout to improve punctuality

–          0605 from Cinderford to Gloucester on Mondays to Fridays will no longer run

 

32:  Ross-on-Wye & Newent to Gloucester

132:  Ledbury & Newent to Gloucester

–          Weekday 0630 from Gloucester will depart at 0615 and run as far as Newent only

–          Weekday 0800 from Gloucester will depart at 0755, with extra journey time to Newent

–          Weekday 1520 from Gloucester and 1554 return from Newent will no longer run

–          Weekday 0729 from Ross-on-Wye to Gloucester will no longer run

–          Weekday 0739 from Ledbury will depart at 0719, arriving in Gloucester at 0834

–          A new weekday journey will depart Newent for Gloucester at 0834

–          Monday to Saturday 2040 from Ross-on-Wye and 2140 return from Gloucester will no longer run

 

33:  Hereford & Ross-on-Wye to Gloucester

–          Due to poor patronage, the 0558 weekday journey from Ross-on-Wye to Longhope will no longer run

 

35:  Ross to Monmouth

–          Every 2-3 hours, Mondays to Saturdays, operated under contract to Gloucestershire County Council

 

60:  Thornbury & Dursley to Gloucester

62:  Bristol & Dursley to Gloucester

X62: Gloucester to Bristol

(Incorporating journeys previously run as Services 60, 62, 88 and Belles Express)

–          All journeys will run to and from Gloucester city centre via A38 Hardwicke bypass, Waterwells Drive (for Hunts Grove), A38 Quedgeley bypass and Bristol Rd

–          Most journeys on Service 60 will start from or continue beyond Dursley to Thornbury via Wotton-Under-Edge

–          Most journeys on Service 62 will start from or continue beyond Dursley to Bristol via Berkeley

–          Peak time journeys will run as Service X62 via Aztec West, MoD Abbeywood and UWE

 

63:  Nailsworth & Stroud to Gloucester

–          Timetable revised throughout, particularly during early mornings and evenings, to improve punctuality

–          Most Sunday journeys will start from or continue beyond Stroud to Nailsworth

 

66:  Stroud & Kingsway to Gloucester

–          Revised timetable throughout to improve punctuality

–          Buses will at an even 15 minute frequency between Waterwells P&R and the city centre

–          All journeys will run via Rudloe Drive and Thatcham Avenue or Valley Gardens in Kingsway

–          Journeys on Service 66Q will run via Newhaven Rd and Woodvale between Waterwells P&R and Matalan

–          Journeys on Service 66F will now run direct from Pilot Inn via Field Court Drive to Waterwells P&R

 

71:  Gloucester to Tewkesbury

–          New weekday early morning journeys will run at 0600 from Gloucester and 0638 from Tewkesbury

–          Extra weekday afternoon journeys will run – buses leave Gloucester at 1600, 1650, 1735 and 1815; and Tewkesbury at 1643, 1733, 1813 and 1853

 

97/98:  Cheltenham & Churchdown to Gloucester

–          Minor timetable changes throughout to improve punctuality

–          0632 from Churchdown to Gloucester on weekdays will depart at 0623 and run 9 mins earlier throughout

–          0618 from Gloucester on Saturdays will no longer run

–          0645 from Churchdown and 0709 from Cheltenham on Saturdays will run as one journey departing                  Cheltenham at 0650

 

113:  Arlingham & Frampton-On-Severn to Gloucester

–          This service will no longer run following a withdrawal of funding from Gloucestershire County Council

860: Abbeymead to Ribston Hall & Crypt Schools

862: Quedgeley to Ribston Hall & Crypt Schools

–          These services will cease at the end of the Summer Term, July 2016.

Belles Express: Gloucester to Bristol

–          This service will no longer run as an express coach service

–          Peak journeys will run as new service X62 from Gloucester via Lower Cam and Falfield to Bristol

–          Daytime journeys will run as service 62 from Gloucester via Cam, Dursley, Berkeley and Falfield to Bristol

Please note there are no changes to Services 2, 6, 13, 94/94U/94X/N94 or school day services 804 and 805
