The Lonesome Pines are Jon Hoyle (guitar, slide, vocals) and Pat Roberts (bass uke, vocals). They mine a rich vein of country/blues storytelling from The Carter Family to the Handsome Family via Hank Williams, Richard Thompson, Leonard Cohen and Chuck Berry. Their own songs are mostly about supermarkets, poodles and unsatisfactory relationships.
