Christmas Lantern Procession & Christmas Lights Switch-on

To celebrate the 110th anniversary of Beatrix Potter’s much loved book, ‘The Tailor of Gloucester’, this years parade will feature lanterns based on the story and its characters, created by Gloucester school children working with local artists. Father Christmas will also be making a guest appearance.
The procession will begin at the St. Kyneburgh Tower on Kimbrose Way, Southgate Street and pass through Gloucester City Centre and make its way to Gloucester Cathedral, as the lights are switched on overhead. There will be a short carol service at the Cathedral.
