The City Council’s City Museum will throw open its doors for one night only in November for visitors to get an experience of a lifetime by spending a night in the museum.

On Saturday 16th November children and adults will be able to enjoy the exhibits with a private tour before settling down in their pyjamas for a hot chocolate and bedtime story.

Visitors will also get a complete Roman experience with an afterhour’s tour of the Eastgate Chamber as well as being able to handle real Roman artefacts and making their own Roman Victory wreath.

After the fun packed evening those who attend will then be able to sleep in any of the downstairs galleries and wake to breakfast in the museum.

Tickets are priced at £55 per person. (£45 for Museum members)

Children must be at least 7 years old to attend. Group bookings must allow 1 adult per 4 children. Camping mats are supplied, but visitors are asked to bring their own sleeping bag and pillow(s). (Hot chocolate, breakfast cereals, toast and drinks provided).
