Gloucester is gearing up for a vibrant celebration of entrepreneurship, creativity, and community pride as Independents Week 2025 returns from 30 June to 6 July. Organised by Gloucester BID, this week-long campaign shines a spotlight on the incredible independent businesses that make the city unique.
From high street retailers and artisan makers to salons, cafés, tradespeople, and tech start-ups, Independents Week is open to all independent business types across Gloucester.
“Independent businesses are the heartbeat of our city,” says Emily Gibbon, Gloucester BID Manager. “Independents Week is about giving them the recognition they deserve, encouraging people to shop local, and reminding everyone how vital these businesses are to our local economy.”
How Businesses Can Get Involved:
Independent businesses are encouraged to sign up and get involved — whether by running a special offer, hosting a mini-event, collaborating with fellow indies, or simply being part of the celebration. All participating businesses will be featured in a city-wide promotional campaign across Gloucester BID’s platforms.
