Gloucester is celebrating its brightest businesses, community champions, and city heroes as the winners of the Believe in Gloucester Awards 2025 are officially revealed. Organised by Gloucester BID, the awards recognise the people and organisations that make the city an incredible place to live, work, and visit.

This year’s awards take place during one of the most exciting periods in Gloucester’s modern story. With the launch of The Forum bringing state-of-the-art digital innovation into the heart of the city and the University of Gloucestershire transforming Kings Square with its major new City Campus development, Gloucester is experiencing a once-in-a-generation moment of regeneration and momentum. 

The combination of new investment, cultural renewal, and creative energy has strengthened the city centre and inspired a new wave of community pride, perfectly reflected in this year’s winners.

The 2025 winners are:

  • Small Business of the Year: Café Elm
  • New Business of the Year: Café Elm
  • Retailer of the Year: The House of the Tailor of Gloucester
  • Food Business of the Year: Bake and Brew
  • Bar or Pub of the Year: The Fountain Inn
  • Best Customer Service Award: The Fountain Inn
  • Hair or Beauty Business of the Year: Ashley Paul
  • Sustainability Award: Gloucestershire Resource Centre
  • Heritage or Regeneration Award: University of Gloucestershire – City Campus
  • Community Project or Organisation of the Year: Longlevens Mixed Ability Rugby
  • Event of the Year: Gloucester Goes Retro
  • Charity of the Year: James Hopkins Trust
  • Young Ambassador of the Year: Jack Douglas
  • Ambassador of the Year: Emily Gibbon
  • Lifetime Achievement Award: Nick Broady 

Emily Gibbon, Manager at Gloucester BID, praised the achievements of this year’s finalists, saying: “The Believe in Gloucester Awards shine a light on the individuals and organisations who make our city such a vibrant and inspiring place.
