Gloucester’s Fountain Inn has won the award for Best Pub for Beer at The Stars of Stonegate Pub Partners Awards 2022.
The traditional pub, run by Business Partners Kieron and Helen Bates, champions not only the pub’s history but also beer. The Fountain Inn has an amazing cellar, housing a large range of beer and cider that everyone will love. Kieron and Helen ensure all of the team are trained in pouring the perfect pint and he and his management team have over 70 years of experience in looking after real ale. The team have a passion for beer and loves expressing their knowledge and love for the drink to customers.
Kieron said: “Winning the award for the best pub for beer is amazing, Helen, the team and I are so passionate about the drink, so this really means a lot. We offer a range of beers for our customers to enjoy, and it is great to advise them on what to drink and express our knowledge. Beer and real ales are a huge part of the Fountain Inn and our offering, and providing high-quality drinks is our aim, so it is lovely for this to be recognised.”
The Stars of Stonegate Pub Partners Awards recognise all the talent across its leased and tenanted estate, celebrating the exceptional work and dedication that has gone into making their businesses a success. Finalists spanned across ten categories, including Best Community Pub, Lifetime Achievement and Pub of the Year.
The awards ceremony was held at Coombe Abbey and welcomed the finalists, members of their pub teams and their Regional Managers, along with the judges and Operations Board.
