🦁The Weekly Roar: Wild Blooms 🦁For this week’s lion spotlight, we have chosen Wild Blooms, located outside The Forum. Created by: Marnie MaurriMarnie, an Artist and Illustrator living in Worcestershire, specialises in highly detailed illustrations, each one telling stories. Her work is a whimsical combination of adorable characters, intricate details, and magical settings, very much inspired by nature and the natural world. Ancient Egyptians held lions in high esteem as their war deities because of the power, strength and fierceness lions possess. 🦁The Weekly Roar: The Kintsugi Lion 🦁For this week’s lion spotlight, we have chosen The Kintsugi Lion, located outside GL1 Leisure Centre. Created by: Sam Morris Sam is an artist and illustrator who tells stories through expressive mark-making, layered textures, and rich colour. Her projects range from large scale community projects, illustrated books to immersive paintings, often blending observation with imagination, inviting viewers into narratives of resilience and transformation. Alongside her studio practice, she teaches online and in-person workshops, helping others explore storytelling through paint. Whether sketching on location or building up layers in the studio, Sam’s work captures the stories hidden in the world around us. 🦁Lion Fun Fact: The females in a group of lions typically give birth at about the same time. This allows for the cubs to play and grow up together with support from the entire pride.Don’t just scroll- stroll!
