A 29-year-old man from Gloucester is in a serious condition in hospital following a collision in Tuffley in the early hours of today.
The grey Fiat Punto he was driving collided with a tree on Tuffley Avenue at about 1.20am.
The man was airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol where he remains with serious head injuries.
No other vehicles or persons are believed to be involved but anyone who saw the incident or has camera footage of the collision or the vehicle being driven in the Gloucester area beforehand should call 101 and quote incident 24 of 11 July.
