Police are investigating a serious assault at Bar H2O in Eastgate Street in Gloucester.

It happened between 9pm and 9.30pm on Wednesday (24 August)

At least four men were involved and a man remains in hospital in a serious condition with head and internal injuries. Another man sustained a wound to his arm.

Two men have been charged with grievous bodily harm.

John Fanning, 55 and of Conduit Street and Adrian Hiles, 44 and of Cromwell Street, will next appear at Gloucester Crown Court on 30 September.

Police are still appealing to witnesses either inside the public house or in the vicinity of Eastgate Street that evening to come forward.
