Sentimental jewellery and hundreds of pounds was stolen during a burglary in Shurdington yesterday.

Offenders forced entry to the property on Main Road. It is believed to have happened at midday, as the offenders knocked over a clock causing its batteries to fall out, stopping the time at 12pm.

Around £700 in cash was stolen as well as jewellery of sentimental value to the victim.

The property is near a busy road and it is hoped that a passing motorist or pedestrian may have witnessed suspicious activity at the time.

Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101 quoting incident 235 of 13 September.
