Starting this week, I am pleased to update you that you will start to see an increase in visibility and enforcement in the City Centre, specifically around the issues of Street Drinking and related Anti-Social Behaviour.
After some intensive partnership working between the Police, City Council, City Safe and Gloucester BID and thanks to your continued reporting of incidents , we have put together a plan of intensive operations. This will include works on some of the environmental factors that have attracted these behaviours.
During this time, I ask that you continue to report any Anti-Social behaviour via the usual channels, utilising the City Safe radio where possible.
When you see Police, myself or City Protection Officers out on patrol please feel free to approach us and discuss any concerns or observations you have.
Alongside the ongoing work by the Solace team to obtain Injunctions against those that are causing us the most harm, I am confident that we can send out a clear message to those that have been a blight to our streets.
