This coming September, the University of Gloucestershire will be holding their Welcome Fayre, which attracts over 3,000 students in attendance! The Fayre will be held at their park campus in Cheltenham, and will be organising a ‘GlosBound’ promotion to pull some of these students to Gloucester!

GlosBound is about getting students connected to the multiple of communities in Gloucester to reduce student loneliness. The University has over 9,000 students and 2/3 of UOG’s students will now be studying in Gloucester, which is an amazing opportunity to get more students in the doors of shops, cafes, volunteering, working and enjoying Gloucester city!

The University’s stand at the Fayre will include a spin wheel with different prizes and they would love one or more of those prizes to be a voucher for a Gloucester shop / service / event / group or anything that would get students through the door!

GlosBound Passport

As part of the campaign, they would like to get students involved in local community groups whether that’s sports, crafts or music. The ‘GlosBound Passport’ will be filled with zero cost activities. These activities get students through the doors of your community groups, shops, charities and more.

For example, ‘Come to shop xyz and find out the name of the stores cat!’ or ‘Come and play boardgames at our café xyz’ or ‘Come to xyz an participate in a arts and craft afternoon’.

If either of these sounds of interest, please contact Bianca Holland, Education and Community officer for the University of Gloucestershire Students’ Union. It will be great for your business and great for Gloucester!
