All things wool…

With the Cathedral on their doorstep, what better location to have Miju Wools’ quaint store!

From beginners to advanced, the team are waiting with a helping hand for all your knitting, crochet, amigurumi needs. Stop by this friendly store, pull up a seat and join in one of their many sessions, from a relaxing knit with friends to a more social ‘Knit and Natter’ meet.

If you’re new to the scene, don’t worry. Miju Wools believe you “enter as strangers, leave as friends”.

The team love to get stuck in with events in the community, just last year they got involved in the Gloucester Goes Retro Day and the year before they embraced Worldwide Knit in Public Day by setting up a marquee in the Cathedral grounds but said it was worth getting chilly for.

Drop by and have a browse of their colourful selection of wools, not forgetting their Loyalty Card Scheme (spend £5 on wool and when your card is full of stamps you receive £5 off!)

While away time here with a therapeutic knitting session alongside locals and sometimes tourists!

During our meet with owner Diane, we found that  she has been a part of the store for many years. It all started when she used to enjoy sock knitting, soon after the owners offered her a part-time job. Four years ago Dianne was offered the opportunity to become manager of the shop and ever since it has blossomed into the success it is today!

Over a lunchtime she likes to visit neighbour The Comfy Pew but what Dianne loves about Gloucester is “the city isn’t too big and still has a community feel to it.”
