The BID funded City Protection Officers (CPOs) have a very visible presence in the City, have formed close links with the police and known trouble spots. They help with a huge number of anti-social incidents as well as more serious matters. The BID also funds and provides Taxi Marshall’s to help ensure everyone gets home safely after enjoying their night out. The BID also supported the application process and successful achievement of the Purple Flag status for Gloucester – a national award for exhibiting safety for the night time economy.
