Gloucester’s biggest celebration of community spirit, business success and local pride is back as nominations officially open for the Believe in Gloucester Awards 2026.
Organised by Gloucester BID, the annual awards recognise the people, businesses, charities and organisations helping Gloucester thrive. Residents, visitors and businesses are now being encouraged to put forward nominations for those making a positive difference across the city.
Last year’s awards attracted hundreds of nominations from across Gloucester and celebrated everyone from community volunteers and charities to independent businesses, retailers and major employers. Organisers are expecting another strong response this year as the city comes together once again to recognise those making a difference.
The awards have become one of Gloucester’s most anticipated annual celebrations, shining a spotlight on the individuals and organisations whose dedication, innovation and community spirit help shape the city.
This year’s awards are proudly supported by headline sponsors Gloucester Quays and WSP Solicitors, whose continued backing helps recognise those making a lasting impact across Gloucester.

Award categories for 2026 include Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Food Business of the Year, Retailer of the Year, Charity of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and a range of additional categories designed to celebrate excellence across Gloucester.
Alongside nominations, Gloucester BID is also inviting businesses to become part of this year’s event through sponsorship opportunities. One headline sponsorship package and a limited number of category sponsorship opportunities remain available for organisations looking to align themselves with one of Gloucester’s most positive and high-profile events.
Sponsorship packages include brand visibility, judging opportunities, VIP event access and promotional coverage across Gloucester BID channels.
The Believe in Gloucester Awards ceremony will take place in November and will bring together finalists, sponsors and supporters from across the city for an evening dedicated to celebrating achievement, commitment and community spirit.
