The Food Dock is staging a series of live music ‘Sunset Sessions’ this Summer on Thursday evenings from 21st May to 6th August. Open to all, new local artists will perform on the Food Dock Deck from 7pm to 8.30pm.

In partnership with The Music Works, this new weekly series will spotlight local talent emerging from the region. The Music Works is a Gloucestershire-based charity where young people can access music and unleash their creativity. Working with people who face barriers to music and creative careers, the Music Works provide the specialist studios, career support and pathways young people need to thrive!

Food Dock’s Hannah Sweet said: “We have an amazing line up of local talent planned for this Summer. Paired with incredible food and drink from our independents here at the Food Dock, it’s set to be the perfect atmosphere to unwind with views across the water.”

With all Sunset Sessions free to attend, the first evening begins with a soulful session from Libby Rollings, a singer-songwriter from Gloucestershire with a powerful, soulful voice. Blending pop, soul and R&B, she performs a mix of classic and modern covers alongside her own original songs.

Anyone interested in attending a live music session, or looking to find out more, is encouraged to visit the official ‘Events’ page on the Food Dock website here.
