Appeal after Minsterworth collision

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision on the A48 at Walmore Hill in Minsterworth last Friday.

A blue Toyota Yaris was travelling towards Westbury-on-Severn at about 4.20pm when the car collided with two elderly pedestrians that were crossing the road.

One pedestrian suffered serious hip and leg injuries and is currently in a serious but stable condition at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. The other pedestrian was taken to hospital with a broken ankle but has since been discharged.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or the car being driven prior to the incident should call 101 and quote incident 368 of 8 July.
