To be eligible for the Local Restrictions Support Grant, your business rated property must be in the Gloucester City Council area and fall under one of the categories on the government’s list of businesses forced to close. Please note that if the majority of your business has been forced to close but you are operating a takeaway or click and collect service, you may still be eligible for a grant.

The grants payable are dependent on the following thresholds:

  • Eligible businesses occupying premises appearing on the local rating list with a rateable value of exactly £15,000 or under on the 05 November 2020 can get a grant payment of £1,334.
  •  Eligible businesses occupying premises appearing on the local rating list with a rateable value over £15,000 and less than £51,000 on the 05 November 2020 can get a grant payment of £2,000.
  • Eligible businesses occupying premises which appear on the local rating list with a rateable value of exactly £51,000 or above on the 05 November 2020 can get a grant payment of £3,000

How to make a claim:

To make an online claim you will need to provide details about the business, this could be:

• Your business rate account reference
• The name of the business as it appears on your recent bill
• Your Unique Tax Reference Number
• Your company number, as registered with Companies House
• Business Name, as registered with Companies House
• Bank account details
• You may be required to submit evidence to support your claim
• Complete and upload a State Aid declaration

Payments will be made by Bacs to your business account as soon as possible.
