  • 1stCalled to identify a shoplifter who had recently made off with store goods.
  • Located and disposed of a concealed weapon, all information passed to police.
  • 2ndAssist the police in the identification of some local offenders committing offences in a local store.
  • Removed groups of intoxicated street drinkers from several locations around the City who were either causing a disturbance or begging.
  • 3rd Called to a City safe members licenced premises, due to an argument over a dropped wallet and money. All issues resolved and information passed to the police.
  • Assisted the police with a male who was causing issues in the Kingswalk and Eastgate shopping centre car parks.
  • 4th Called to several cases of shoplifting, young couple refused to return to store and threw all store items on the floor, a male was also caught red handed in store. All entered onto DISC, police informed.
  • Two new street people seen in the city, given correct information for food and who to speak to for support, all explained and passed onto correct agencies via street link.
  • 5th Called to assist a City safe store with two females shoplifting, both arrested by police.
  • Confirm a shoplifter’s identification for City safe store, added to DISC.
  • Assisted and located a missing lady who had Dementia and had not been out for a long time. Returned home safe and well.
  • Assisted a young lady who was having a mental health episode, provided support, and requested assistance from correct agencies.
  • 6th Called to check out a suspicious young male who was acting very suspiciously in and around all the banks on the cross area.
  • Called to assist a City safe store who were having issues with two females abusing a member of staff, they had left the store and were located at Long Smiths car park.
  • 7th Monitored a group of known shoplifters around the town, information passed to CCTV.
  • Called to assist with a shoplifter, he had managed to leave the store but was detained by CPOs and store security, all goods retrieved. All details will be added to DISC.
  • 8th Called to city safe stores for identification of a shoplifter, details added to DISC.
  • Called to assist police with a male in a carpark, police talked to him and he left the area.
  • Several cases of shoplifting, one male deterred by staff, his description was passed over the radio, the other was stopped, and goods retrieved. All details will be added to DISC.
  • 9th Monitoring street drinkers and beggars around the City.
  • Removed an aggressive young Male from the transport hub, who was being abusive towards the cleaning staff.
  • 10th Informed of a high-risk missing male. Checked likely areas, male found by police later in the day.
  • Monitored known shoplifters around the city, deterring from stores.
  • 11th Removed a very large crowd of street drinkers from a public area, a lot of noise and rubbish was being left lying around.
  • Known persons spotted and passed over to CCTV and monitored.
  • 12th Called to assist the Council with issuing letters to move to members of the travelling community out of the local areas.
  • Removed several street beggars who are becoming very persistent and aggressive, these were moved on and reported.
  • 13thAssisted in the removal and tidy up of a tree branch felled by bad weather.
  • Called to assist a City safe store who had a male being rude to customers and offensive to staff members, this individual was also caught shoplifting in another store. All details sent to police.
  • Sighted and reported two individuals who were breaching a banning order not to enter town.
  • 14th Assisted with a young female being bullied, long history between the two, police informed, and the girl taken home.
  • Reported direct to CPOs reference a bike hat that had been stolen, all information given to CCTV and the owner advised to report it immediately on 101.
  • 15thCalled to store as two females were shop lifting, checked CCTV however both unknown. All details added to DISC.
  • Shoplifter in a City safe store stopped by CPOs, all goods retrieved but also had goods from other stores. All details on DISC. Police informed – No available resources.
  • Male found unconscious in Greyfriars, street medic called as it was a known street drinker, it transpired that he was sleeping off the drink!
  • 16th Monitored known individuals around the city, preventing entry to City safe stores.
  • Assisted in several first aid situations during the day, one required ambulance service, the other was dealt with in location.
  • 17th Assisted with a shoplifter who got violent with security staff and made threats, and had to be restrained, police called, and he was arrested.
  • Called and assisted in the removal of a male who had been in the venue for a long time and was causing other customers discomfort. He left but was swearing and being abusive towards staff.
  • A male was reported for trying to sell fragrance on the street, when approached for his peddlers’ licence he ran off, CCTV tracked him, and police finally arrest him for other offences.
  • 18th Assisted in a well-known shoplifter and a person with a live CBO ban being arrested by police.
  • Monitored several well-known individuals around town, reported two cases of breaching banning orders.
  • 19th– Called to attend two City safe stores due to a shoplifter, goods retrieved from one store and identified him. All details added to DISC, the other person managed to slip away with the goods, however he was identified from CCTV footage. His information is on DISC and police are aware, as he is now stealing every day.
  • Called several times to different venues to remove aggressive and drunk males who refused to leave when asked to by staff.
  • 20th Called to remove a very aggressive male from a café shop, gone before CPOs arrived, all details added to DISC.
  • Attended a call to assist with a shoplifter who had managed to take goods from a number of stores, all items retrieved all information checked and added to DISC. Police informed and checks to be made in follow up to this case.
  • The City and Quays plagued by teenaged boys on bicycles, caused havoc by riding inside shopping centres and areas where they were not welcome. Police called and they were spoken to.
  • Called to remove a drunk male (same male as previous day) police called, and he was arrested and removed from the centre.
  • 21stCalled to assist with trouble in a City Hotel, helped calm the situation down and police arrived and took over this incident.
  • Called by a store security officer to talk to a male who had been assaulted, information taken, and male went to Bearlands police station. CPOs investigated and checked through CCTV and identified the persons involved in the assault. Police informed of all information.
  • Attended a call to a store who had stopped a very young child who was on her own. Managed to collect details and her parents were called. Police called also as a duty of care. The father arrived and was advised by police.
  • 22nd Group of youths causing some issues were moved on out of town.
  • Several cases of shoplifting removed two other males from a store before they could steal items.
  • Removed a drunk male from a cafe as he was causing issues for staff, PCSO attended and this male was given a section 35 order banning him from the city area for 24 hours.
  • 23rd Called to assist with the processing of a shoplifter, all details added to DISC.
  • Attended a male who appeared passed out in Greyfriars. After checking him over he was just very drunk.
  • 24th Called to attend a dispute over a parking incident, a main gate was being blocked by a van. Calmed the situation down and the incident sorted out amicably.
  • Two cases of shoplifting to attend with, all details have been added to DISC, one was a known offender the other ID sought.
  • Removed street beggars from public areas, and removed a drunk male who was refusing to move from the store he was in.
  • 25th Several cases of assisting with welfare incidents, managed to sort out issues that were causing problems, assisted by relevant agencies.
  • Called and assisted with the removal of two females who were causing a disturbance in the City.
  • 26th Two males detained and handed over to the police, both males trying to pass of fake £20 pound note to stores in the city.
  • Assisted in the detention of a wanted male, police informed of this individual and his location.
  • Attended several cases of anti-social behaviour ranging from groups of youths to drunk individuals causing disturbances and aggressive behaviour.
  • 27th Assisted with two males being picked up by police for bike thefts.
  • Assisted a male in a welfare case, liaised with several agencies and police on this male’s behalf, got him home safely.
  • Detained a shoplifter after he had left the store, all items retrieved and returned Police informed, and all details added to DISC.
  • 28th Spoke with store security as he had stopped four young female shoplifters, all under 14 years of age, parents informed, and details taken for the store.
  • Two cases of speaking to individuals who have CBOs and are banned from the city centre. Details of breaches added to DISC.
  • 29th Assisted in dealing with five separate cases of shoplifting, most goods retrieved and returned to owner stores, all details have been forwarded to police and added to DISC.
  • Assisted the Street medic with a first aid incident until ambulance crew turned up, police also informed of this incident.
  • 30th Removed a group of youths who were causing a smoking issue, smoke fumes were going into a shopping centre.
  • Removed a group of street drinkers from a public space, who were making a lot of noise and disturbing the public.
  • 31st Removed street drinkers from a public area, causing an issue so removed.
  • Removed an individual who was in breach of a banning order.
  • Spoke with a group of youths using a carpark as a play area, explained the dangers and moved them on.
