Gloucester Brewery celebrates its 10th year alongside the successful launch of a new taproom and shop at its stunning waterside location in Gloucester Docks.

Founded in 2011 on a love of beer and a vision for creative, sustainable brewing, Gloucester Brewery has gone from strength to strength: expanding into a large new warehouse at the docks and opening its first bar Tank in 2015.

The brewery has now taken on the large Warehouse 4 which fronts onto the canal basin. The shop is now open and sells its range of beers, gins and vodkas along with sustainable clothing including a t-shirt made out of recycled plastic! The taproom opens to customers on Friday 24th September which caters for all tastes. You’ll also be able to use the only self-served keg bar in the county.

Manager Hugh Joslyn said, ‘We offer a balanced range of beers for the traditional market but also more popular hoppy beers. In the taproom, it will be a different vibe to Tank as we will be offering an immersive drinking experience surrounded by brewing and distilling vessels in a beautiful waterfront location.’

Gloucester Brewery has now launched a special one-off beer to celebrate its 10th year called Perfect 10, and there is a constant expansion of business. The shop sells its range of beers as well as offering a range of premium gins and vodkas, all made on site.

Brewery tours will soon be relaunched where you’ll enjoy an informative look at how the beer is made, as well as an opportunity to sample from the range. These tours also include insight into the distillery side of the business.

Natural ingredients are the foundation of the beers from the timeless Gloucester Gold to the new IPAs meaning they don’t just taste great you can feel good about drinking them too.

The latest major project comes on the back of months of strong growth for the brewery despite the pandemic. Gloucester Rugby chairman Martin St. Quinton and the club’s Chief Executive Lance Bradley are now among its shareholders who have helped the business go from strength to strength.
