Frank Bruno, the London born former heavyweight champion boxer, is set to visit Gloucestershire for a fundraiser for Winston’s Wish – the charity for bereaved children. The evening, which takes place at the end of October, will see Bruno talk to boxing fans about his career, famous fights and his 95% knockout rate.

The boxer started his career as a professional in 1982 and quickly achieved 21 consecutive wins by knockout. He won the WBC title in 1995, defeating Oliver McCall, and won 40 out of his 45 bouts.

An Evening with Frank Bruno has been organised by Spa Promotions and takes place at Hatherley Manor Hotel in Gloucester. VIP tickets are available for £100, which include a champagne reception and a photograph with Bruno, whilst standard tickets are set at £80.00.

All tickets include a 3 course meal, a prize giveaway and a charity auction in aid of Winston’s Wish.

Anyone looking for further information about the event, which takes place on the 21st of October at 6pm, should contact Spa Promotions on 07470498828 or visit https://www.facebook.com/events/1017722011598750.

Elizabeth Thatcher, Community Fundraiser at Winston’s Wish, commented: “It’s really exciting to have such a well-known name like Frank Bruno appearing at an event in aid of Winston’s Wish. With such an illustrious career, I’m sure all attending with hear plenty of fantastic anecdotes and stories. We cannot thank Spa Promotions and Frank Bruno enough for their support.
