Police investigating the rape of a young teenage boy in the Tredworth area are renewing their appeal for witnesses.

Officers received a report on Friday that a boy had been raped in Tredworth Cemetery between 8pm and 9.20pm on Sunday 11 October.

Investigating officers have been conducting a number of enquiries since the weekend and are now asking three people who are believed to have spoken to the boy after the incident to come forward.

It is understood that the boy spoke to the people near to the Weaver’s Shop Carpet Warehouse on Eastern Avenue at around 10pm on the night. They were described as being two white women and a black man who was wearing Nike Vapormax trainers.

A number of officers have been taking part in reassurance patrols in the area whilst conducting enquiries and anyone with information can also report this by speaking to an officer.

You can also report information anonymously via the independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.
